The Messages are Working… Kind of

I received a handful of messages today from my wife. She and I talked on the phone a little later in the day and we think that there may be a method to sending messages that are short enough and contain nothing of any substance. Essentially, if we keep the words generic and don’t use any special numbers or symbols, we’ll be good. I believe there must be an algorithm that kicks out messages to be reviewed manually. If we can avoid that step, we’re able to message one another in almost real-time.

I also ended up talking to my wife later in the day today. Was able to “hear” the kids in the background, even though I’m not supposed to communicate with them. Just hearing their voices on the other end of the phone made my heart soar. My wife and kids miss me a lot and I can tell that they are struggling with me being gone for so long.

On the plus side, the Chiefs won their playoff game against the Bills in what was a great football game. I really wish I could be watching this at home or with some friends instead of through a small window in the door of my cell.
