Keeping Busy: Daily Life and Challenges

Work was really good today. I kept myself busy the whole morning and then the last hour or so flew by after lunch. We had to fix a fan motor on top of the roof over at central unit. it was causing problems because it was not exhausting the air out of the showers. it was so nice to be on top of the roof because I could see for a couple miles away and it almost felt like I could see freedom.

On Sunday my bunkie got sent to the hole for a few days. Apparently he threatened someone in our pod. I tried to ask for a new bunk mate, someone that I work with, but I was denied by our unit team counselor. No matter, I get the cell to myself for a few days. Tomorrow I’m going to speak with my unit team counselor to see if I can check on the status of my wife’s visitation. I also want to see how soon I can get enrolled in a program so I can earn my earliest release credit.
