Bunkie’s Birthday and Daughter

Tuesday was my bunkie’s birthday, not that it means much when you’re in a place like this. Yesterday, I met with a unit team counselor and they apparently are just as frustrated with the current state of KDOC as I am. He and I discussed a couple IMPPs specific to Sex Offenders and he couldn’t explain why it was the way it was, only to share that it’s been this way for awhile and probably won’t change anytime soon. While it was nice to have someone express similar opinions about the operations and the way things work, it means absolutely nothing for me right now.

My daughter’s birthday is tomorrow and I truly hate that I have to be sitting in here and unable to be with her. What emotional damage is this doing to her? Will she be able to forgive me for missing 2 birthdays, especially at such a tough age.
